March of the Living Alumni Perform Songs Celebrating Chanukah & in Solidarity with the Hostages

On December 15, 2024 at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Site in Toronto’s Earl Bales Park, community members assembled for an early Hanukkah gathering to shine a light on the plight of the hostages still being held captive in Gaza. See https://youtu.be/HqS_QMEmu6Y?si=0XofB8HEqQmEmkXz

Singing three songs live at the event were Aviva Rajsky and Kim Kowarsky Doron. Both talented musical artists have participated in numerous March of the Living programs, and traveled in past years on the March of the Living appearing in the central ceremony in Auschwitz-Birkenau on Yom Hashoah.

The event was organized by Eynat Katz, a grandchild of Holocaust survivors, and a participant in the very first March of the Living in 1988, who returned as a chaperone in 2018 with her daughter Tali.
