The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising inspired Jews to resist the Germans in the ghettos, death camps and forests in the Shoah.

The 2023 March of the Living highlighted the stories of these brave Jewish freedom fighters.

Thanks to AI technology developed by Israeli startup D-ID, we were able, if only for just a moment, to bring the heroes of the uprisings in Warsaw and Auschwitz – Birkenau back to life.

Highlighting the role of woman fighters in the resistance, along with the stories of those who survived and those who perished, we present portraits of the Jewish fighters in their own words, as written during the actual uprising or testimonials provided in its aftermath.
