The Argentine Delegation has participated in the March of the Living program since 1992.
It began with a single group of participants of various ages and grew year after year, until 2018, when the delegation numbered almost 800 people, including high school groups and adult groups.
In 2025, approx. 300 participants, including high school students, university students and adults, will join the March from Argentina
The objective of the March of the Living Argentina is to inspire its participants to fight against discrimination, indifference and injustice, through visits to the places where the atrocities of the Holocaust occurred, as well as through educational actions carried throughout the year for young people. March of the Living Argentina emphasizes that we are all part of a collective construction of consciousness and action, and that we are responsible for laying the foundations for a respectful and empathetic coexistence between all human beings who inhabit this complex world.
In 2014, the program was declared of Educational Interest by the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The mission of March of the Living Argentina is to involve all those in charge of transmitting and disseminating the legacy of the Shoah, adding and multiplying their voices.
Here are a few brief words about the March of the Living Argentina program, which reflect the impact on the young people who participate.
Brian Frojmovich, participant in the March of the Living Argentina 2018
“ The March of the Living was a remarkable experience for many reasons but mainly because it allowed us to deepen our connection with the Shoah and the Jewish People and left us with the commitment to fight against any kind of antisemitism”
Micaela Witlis, participant in the March of the Living Argentina 2023
“Participating in the March of the Living meant committing to take with me, wherever I go, everything I have lived, felt and learned. It is the responsibility that all that part of our history that is gone, remains with us forever, and that it never happens again.”
